Rest for the Weary

Watering:

“Six days do your work, but on the seventh day do not work, so that your ox and your donkey may rest, and so that the slave born in your household and the foreigner living among you may be refreshed.” (Exodus 23:12)

Watching:

Ha. I always thought the Sabbath was just for his people to rest and get refreshed. Turns out, he was thinking about the animals and the slaves and the foreigners too.

Everything needs to rest.

Wondering:

… what else do you want me to ‘put the rest’ Lord?

Waiting:

Give me eyes to see and ears to hear. I want YOUR perspective on things. Not mine.
