Praise be to the Lord my Rock,
who trains my hands for war,
my fingers for battle…
Try lifting a cup without fingers. Try tying your shoes, or removing a splinter.
The Lord trains our FINGERS for battle.
The small little thing, even those things we might consider as the insignificant details
are battles to win.
If the saying is true that “the devil is in the details” then God must – needs – to be greater.
It is time to take care of the details: the smiles, the neighbor’s cookies, the old-school card sent in love, the “I’m thinking of you” text. THESE small “finger battles” are territory to win.
“Do not despise the small things.”
“Life and death are in the tongue.”
5 stones and a slingshot.
5 loaves and 2 fishes.
Water jugs, servants and new wine.
Your smile: small, amazing
Jesus, I am only enough, when you are enough for me. Pressed down, overflowing, Jesus you are more than enough…Oh let that my heart always know that.
