“Perhaps the Lord will act in our behalf. Nothing can hinder the Lord from saving, whether by many or by few.”
“Do all that you have in mind,” his armor-bearer said. “Go ahead; I am with you heart and soul.”
Jonathon was an excited kid… testing the waters. Not scared, not looking for proof of love. He was just fired up for a Big God that does Big things. And the cool thing is, Jonathon didn’t even need to know the plan, because he wasn’t basing his allegiance on what God’s action would be…he was basing his faith on the God he knew.
“Nothing can hinder the Lord”… (even me.)
Plus, not only that, Jonathon had a partner ‘in crime’ – a Stand By Me adventurer – a friend that was game for getting out of the bleachers and going for it: “Perhaps the Lord will act in our behalf.”
Hopeful. Willing. Excited.
Life is a series of God adventures, and a lot of: “Perhaps, God…”
But, whether by many or by few, God is willing and able
… and he never sends us out alone.
Thanks Lord. Needed to hear that today.
