The Lord works righteousness
and justice for all the oppressed. (Psalm 103: 6)
The Lord works righteousness…
Works it like magic in the hearts of those He calls by name.
Of all the ways I could describe myself, righteous is not one of them. Yet God made Christ “to be sin who knew no sin, that in him I might become the righteousness of God.” (2 Cor. 5:21)
BECOME. Not a done deal… A work in progress. A work He is faithful to keep working. “…working all things together for GOOD to those who are called according to his purpose.”
But this GOOD goes beyond my own interests. This GOOD is his heart for the world. This GOOD is for the saving of many lives: to free the captive, to bring hope to the hopeless, to love the unlovely.
This is His GOOD purpose that I am called to.
This is His righteousness that is being worked in
This is the crazy hope: Christ in me. Christ in you
… God working in us!
It’s time to step out of His way.
Lord, have your way. In me. This day.
