The God who trains my fingers for battle…

Watering:

Psalm 144

Praise be to the Lord my Rock,
who trains my hands for war,
    my fingers for battle…

Watching:

Try lifting a cup without fingers. Try tying your shoes, or removing a splinter.

The Lord trains our FINGERS for battle.

The small little things, even what we might consider as insignificant –

are battles to win.

Wondering:

If the saying is true that “the devil is in the details” then God must – needs – to be greater.

“Do not despise the small things.”

“Life and death are in the tongue.”

5 stones and a slingshot.

5 loaves and 2 fishes.

Water jugs, servants and new wine.

It is time to take care of the details:

the smile, the delivered cookies, the old-school card sent in love, the “I’m thinking of you” text…

the phone call, the ‘hang out’ date, the errand, the random act of kindness

THESE small “finger battles” are territory to win.

small,

amazing

… enough.

Waiting:

Jesus, I am only enough, when you are enough for me. Pressed down, overflowing, Jesus you are more than enough…Oh let that my heart always know that.
